Practice Customer Engineer, Data Analytics Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role. Experience with Apache Spark and analytic warehouse solutions (e.g., Teradata, Netezza, Vertica, SQL-Server, and Big Data technologies). Experience implementing analytics systems architecture. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with technical sales or professional consulting in cloud computing, data, information life-cycle management, and Big Data. Experience with coding languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C++, Scala, R, or Go). Experience developing data warehousing, data lakes, batch, or real-time event processing and ETL workflow solutions, including architecture design, implementing, tuning, schema design, query of and distributed systems. Knowledge of Linux, Web 2.0 development platforms, solutions, and related technologies (e.g., HTTP, Basic/NTLM,sessions, XML/XSLT/XHTML/HTML). Understanding of DNS, TCP, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, DMZ, Load Balancing, VPN, VPC.
