RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTED DELIVERABLES FROM DATA SCIENTIST • Delivering high-quality application • Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner • Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions • Mine and analyze data to drive optimization and improvement of development and business strategies. • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. SKILLS: • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as kNN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc. • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Python, NumPy, MatLab, etc. Excellence in at least more than one of these is highly desirable • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificia
