Splunk Platform Specialist – Large Telco (Telecom | Multi-OpCo Deployment) - L2/ L3 Engineer Job Overview The Splunk Platform Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and optimizing Splunk platform deployments across Customer's multi-country telecom environments (OpCos). This is a hands-on technical role with strong emphasis on Splunk engineering, data onboarding, and platform administration within a telecom ecosystem. The role focuses on: • Greenfield Splunk implementation across 20+ telecom locations • Integration of OSS/BSS, Core Network, and IT systems • Ensuring scalable, high-performance Splunk architecture • Supporting continuous log ingestion, search optimization, and data visibility Key Responsibilities 1. Splunk Architecture & Engineering • Design and implement distributed Splunk architecture across: • Multiple OpCos / countries • Data centers and telecom sites • Configure and manage: • Indexers, Search Head Clusters, Deployment Server • Universal / Heavy Forwarders • Implement multi-tenancy architecture for different OpCos • Ensure: • High availability and scalability • Performance optimization for telecom-scale data ingestion 2. Data Onboarding & Log Engineering • Define and implement data onboarding standards for telecom and IT logs • Onboard logs from: • OSS systems (NMS, RAN monitoring) • BSS systems (Billing, CRM, Revenue Assurance) • Core telecom (4G/5G, packet core, IP/MPLS) • Perform: • Parsing (props.conf / transforms.conf)
